appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini.
Mr Jarabini sentenced him to three years imprisonment but conditionally suspended one-year for the next five years.
In sentencing him, Mr Jarabini noted that Waison showed no remorse for his actions.
The State proved that on November 21 and at around 3am, Waison went to Irvine’s Zimbabwe at Lanark Farm in Beatrice and cut a fowl run security fence. Once inside, he took 20 chickens, twisted their necks and packed them into two sacks.
A security guard Mr Inos Mapope who was on patrol discovered the theft and alerted other guards.
Mr Edmond Ndambakuwa prosecuted.
