Stolen baby reunites with family after 30 years

In a shocking twist, Matthew Bwazo, who was stolen as a baby 30 years ago, has finally been reunited with his family.

Born on May 19, 1994, Matthew disappeared just two weeks later and was never seen again—until now.

Renamed Tinashe James Ncube by his captor, Simangaliso Rufu, he grew up unaware of his true origins.

The community of Masvingo is reeling from the revelation, as Matthew’s parents, Sarah Zhou and Clever Bwazo, endured decades of heartache.

Their son had been taken by Simangaliso, who allegedly pretended he was her own child.

After a Mwazha church prophet advised the family that their lost son was living in Kadoma, DNA tests confirmed the shocking truth. Simangaliso was arrested but later agreed to an out-of-court settlement.

Now married with four children and working as a truck driver, Matthew’s return has brought a sense of closure to his grieving family. (H-metro)
