Stolen receipt book lands court official in the dock

Court Correspondent
A 29-YEAR-OLD High Court employee appeared in court yesterday charged with stealing a Judicial Service Commission receipt book.

Tarisai Kangwete allegedly then receipted clients and pocketed $5 126.

He was charged with theft when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe.

Kangwete was granted $100 bail.

Allegations are that during the period extending between December 2015 to May 2016, Kangwete connived with John Washanyira, who is an accounting assistant and is still at large, to steal two receipt books belonging to the JSC. They allegedly used the receipt books to steal.
