Club head coach Lee Mangena confirmed this on Friday. He said the players would be on loan and he said he was confident they would win the championship next season.
“We have had a boost to our squad after we acquired a goalkeeper, some defenders as well as midfielders to beef our squad for the next season.
Borrow Jets is already out of the way and we feel we can be champions of the league, we are now gunning for promotion to the elite league,” Mangena said.
Borrow Jets finished top in the Southern Region League after winning all their games and were promoted to the National League.
Street Set who finished fourth in the log standings in the just ended Southern Region Women’s Soccer League, is made up of players from Nketa and Montrose Girls High Schools.
Mangena said they sought the services of Montrose Girls High students after they lost some of their key players to other clubs earlier this year.
“Earlier in the year we lost quite a number of players to some local clubs and we had to recruit more players from Montrose to balance our squad,” he said.
The coach gave a warning to their counterparts in the league.
“Our opponents should watch out for Street Set next season as we want to give them a good run for their money. As for Hwange Ladies they must make sure they qualify for the National League otherwise if they do not we are not going to be pushovers but we will disappoint them,” he said.
