Farirai Machivenyika Senior Reporter

Zimbabwe should continuously strengthen its legal framework to fight the scourge of corruption, the chairperson of Parliament’s Budget, Finance and Economic Development Committee Dr Matthew Nyashanu has said.

Dr Nyashanu said this during a policy dialogue between journalists, MPs and the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission on the 2019 Auditor General’s report.

Auditor-General Mrs Mildred Chiri recently released the report that exposed a number of irregularities in various ministries, local authorities and parastatals.

Dr Nyashanu hailed the ongoing amendment of the Public Finance Management Act, saying this would assist the fight against corruption.
