President Mnangagwa hosts President Nandi-Ndaitwah for bilateral talks
SADC Chairperson, President Mnangagwa, met Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at State House in Harare today, with the two leaders engaging in bilateral talks aimed at strengthening cooperation between their countries.
The meeting highlighted shared priorities in regional integration, economic development, peace and security.
Speaking after the meeting, President Mnangagwa said they had excellent discussions.

“We are so happy that our relations are strengthening and continue to deepen, and I am happy that my sister found the opportunity to visit Zimbabwe.
“We are so grateful for her finding the time to come and visit us. It is an honour,” he said.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah, who was accompanied by First Gentleman Lieutenant General Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, emphasised the great need for trade collaboration.
“What we are discussing here is how best we can facilitate trade between our two countries. The Trans-Kalahari Corridor is one infrastructure that is critical for such trade,” said President Nandi-Ndaitwah.
“In developing this corridor, we are also calling on business people from Namibia, Zimbabwe, and the region to collaborate and make use of this infrastructure,” she said.
This is President Nandi-Ndaitwah’s first official visit to Zimbabwe since assuming office.
Dr Nandi-Ndaitwah tours National Heroes Acre
Namibia’s President, Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has paid a solemn tribute at the National Heroes Acre, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The act honoured the legacy of Zimbabwe’s fallen liberation heroes and heroines.

Standing before the towering monument, Dr Nandi-Ndaitwah reflected on the sacrifices that forged a path for both nations’ independence.
Her visit served not only as a gesture of remembrance but as a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between Namibia and Zimbabwe – a relationship rooted in shared struggles and unwavering solidarity.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah departs
Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has left the country, concluding her working visit to Zimbabwe.
Her departure marked the end of a productive engagement with SADC Chair President Mnangagwa, aimed at enhancing diplomatic and economic cooperation between the two countries and the region.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah was seen off at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by senior Government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira; Minister of Skills Audit and Development, Professor Paul Mavima, and
Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Namibia, Melody Chaurura.
This was President Nandi-Ndaitwah’s first official visit to Zimbabwe since assuming office.
