Strive to operate as business entities, PSL clubs urged

He was saying this in the context of Zimbabwe’s football environment, where most clubs do not have proper procurement structures.
“One of the areas that is very important for every football club is the existence of a supplier list of competent companies that they deal with.

“This is standard practice in the business world and it’s a must for any venture worth its salt,” he said.
In this regard, Mr Chiware is currently working with the country’s biggest soccer team, Dynamos Football Club, as it prepares to celebrate its Golden Anniversary.
As part of the initiative, Mr Chiware is assisting the club to develop a credible suppliers list.

This is also part of greater initiative to improve the visibility of the Dynamos brand across the country’s communities.
“Marketing companies that will list on the Dynamos suppliers list will also help us to establish what is feasible and appropriate. We want to unleash the inherent potential in the Dynamos FC brand and help the current efforts by the board of directors of the club to build a lasting Dynamos brand.

“In this regard we have been advertising and calling on registered and established companies to come forward and enlist on the Dynamos suppliers list, for the delivery of a wide range of goods and services that the club requires,” he said.

The Dynamos FC Golden Jubilee Countdown promotion is aimed at acknowledging the work done by the founder members of the club, former players, the current crop of players and also to recognise the contributions of the club to the local football community.
