Strong Zim team for UK pool tour

THE Zimbabwe Pool Association (ZIPA) will be sending a 16-member team comprising eight men and as many women to the United Kingdom for the 2024 Blackball International World Championships.

The event will run from October 11-20.

The 2024 Blackball International World Championships will be held at Bridlington Spa in Bridlington. It will feature both individual and team competitions, bringing together top players from around the world.

Among the participants who are expected to take part are Christine Sengwe, Priscilla Chisoro, Flatta Moyo, Thabiso Chikono, Maria Mubata, Alice Chiota, Diana Kabasa, Nezisi Million, Timothy Onida, Hardlife Mugocha, Stephen Paswani, Peter Madzinga, Allen Changadzo, Blessing Muzarurwi, Ronaldo Kazembe and Freedom Nyongo.

Bridlington is a spacious arena located in Yorkshire City.

Wellington Chikasha, who is the Zimbabwe Pool Association technical director, said that the team is scheduled to leave for the United Kingdom on October 9.

“Team Zimbabwe is scheduled to leave on October 9 and land in the UK the following day. The players are very excited and cannot wait for this historical event to showcase their talent. The team is a mixed bag containing tried and tested seasonal campaigners and upcoming stars.
