STUDENT, MISS UZ IN DRIVE TO HELP ORPHANS

A UNIVERSITY of Zimbabwe student, Zoey Ashly Chivasa, and Miss UZ, Chengeto Kanyai, are inviting volunteers, especially the youths, to donate and help orphans and children living with disability at Kudakwashe Care Centre Trust in Harare.

Chivasa told H-Metro they were looking for clothes, toiletries, shoes, groceries, blankets, stationery and just about anything which will bring a smile to the children at the centre.

The home has 36 children.

Volunteers will also have time to interact with the children, on July 20, engage with them on various games and fun activities and encourage teamwork, creativity and self-expression.

“Stepping into the world of an orphanage is like entering a realm where resilience and hope thrive amidst challenges so let’s aim to donate, contribute and help those in need of our help as young adults,” said Zoey.

‘’The experience of visiting an orphanage is both heart-wrenching and heartwarming, offering a profound insight into the lives of children who have faced adversity at a young age.

“So, let’s support them and try to assist them with the little we have so that they feel loved and appreciate every moment of life as something unique and precious.”
