Students tightening defence

HERENTALS coach, Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva, says they want to work on their defence going into their Castle Lager Premiership match tomorrow.

The Students play ZPC Kariba on Saturday at the National Sports Stadium. “We are trying to build from our last game against Ngezi,” he said.

“We want to rectify mistakes in defending that also cost the game for us and, at the same time, try to work on all other areas.

“So, we are prepared and everyone is ready for the tie, the major setback that we have is that we are conceding but we are scoring, which is positive.

“We are recovering very well.”

He added: “But, we need to start winning games, we haven’t yet registered a win so we are positive going into the match.

“We are trying to minimise the mistakes so that we will get a positive result.

“This is what we are working on, our concentration levels are going up each day and this means we are on the right path to collect points.”

He has a clean bill of health.

“We’ve got balance in the squad and we are spoilt for choice in our bid to come out with a positive result against Kariba.

‘‘It might be an advantage to us (playing at home), but they’re also using the same home ground.

“I think they’ve used the stadium more than us, so they’ve got better familiarity than us.”
