AFTER an impressive display with the ball, the Chevrons suffered yet another setback losing both their openers inside the last 30 minutes of day two’s play.

Ben Curran was the first to fall, falling victim to a Matt Henry short ball which he pulled and was caught on the boundary for 11 runs off 26 deliveries, leaving Zimbabwe on 25/1 with the last ball of the seventh over.

Bennett fell in the following over, caught behind for 18 runs off 21 balls off the bowling of Will O’Rourke.

With Zimbabwe now on 29/2 in 7.5 overs, trailing by 129 runs, they brought in a night watchman in Masekesa.

He managed lo help see out the day with Nick Welch.

Welch ended the day on two runs off 18 deliveries while Masekesa faced 13 balls without scoring.

Play resumes at 10am for the third day on Friday.
