DENDERA musician, Suluman Chimbetu, has endorsed Alick Macheso’s upcoming album.
The Orchestra Dendera Kings boss gave his endorsement at a recent show at Mashwede Village in Harare.
Sulu said: “Do not forget there is Baba Sharo’s album launch coming.
“I will be in the UK, but I have already endorsed his album as a hit because legends are legendary.
“Havangapotse zvavagara vachiita with ease for years, hazviite, vakatogohwesa Baba Sharo, I wish him well.”
Macheso will dop his album next month at Alex Sports Club.
Sulu dropped one of his songs, called Mumba, from his upcoming album, which was well received by the crowd.
One of the fans jumped onto the stage holding a bunch of United States dollars and started showering him with them.
The delirious fan was only identified as Send Cash.
“Send Cash got charmed by that song and instantly jumped onto the stage and showered me and the band with bundles of cash.
“The song is about our lives on the farms and mines, that is why it spiritually resonated with Send Cash.
“This song is called Nyumba, imba, someone’s house which got burnt down into ashes during his absence.
“When he arrived back from work, he surprisingly mourned his gule mask more than his whole house.
“Lastly, I remind our fans to always support their local artists.
“Yes, supporting music from the DRC is good as we are all Africans but firstly we should support our own Zimbabwean music.”
Sulu and his Orchestra Dendera Kings will leave Harare tomorrow for the Zim Fest show in the United Kingdom, before heading to South Africa where they will also perform. .
