He heads to Plumtree tonight at Kombami Lodges before he packs his bags to Esigodini on Saturday at Drive Inn for his first gig.
“We have busy schedules each week and the band members never show any signs of fatigue. The shows in Matabeleland are not an exception, we are up for the task. Since it will be our first shows at these places, we want to leave lasting impressions,” said Joe “Local” Nyamungoma, Sulu’s publicist.
He said the group was still intact after the departure of Allan Chimbetu and Francis Dhaka.
“Nothing has changed, judging from our recent shows the fans are not complaining,” he said.
Without a doubt there is no way he will leave the stage before playing the hit “Sean Timba”. The song which he says is about piracy though critics think
otherwise, has endeared him to both the young and old.
“Sean Timba” features Jah Prayzah and it is one of the hit songs for 2013. He has travelled across the region holding successful shows, and is now ranked among the top five musicians in the country.
The youthful artiste is also tipped to be leading the pack of contenders for the artiste of the year award.
Suluman, who initially kicked off his career riding on his father’s name, has carved a brand of his own and established himself as an artiste worth his salt.
With four albums up his sleeves Sulu is proving to all and sundry that he is not a one-hit wonder.
