Sulu holds welcome back gig

The gig will probably be the most prominent show in the capital because all the big names in local music will be in Gokwe for the Unity Gala that will spill over into tomorrow morning.

Suluman publicist Joe Nyamungoma said the dendera star was not showing any signs of fatigue after a rather hectic month.

“This has been a hectic and busy month for us, but the good thing is that Sulu is still young and energetic, he can pull through,” said Nyamungoma.

Sulu’s playlist always comprises his own composition and that of his father.

He is expected to perform his hit songs such as “Sean Timba” and “Njiva”, off his latest album,“Syllabus”.

The album has catapulted him to new heights with some of his fans saying that the young man is coming of age and is slowly evolving to match his late father, Simon.

It is, however, the experience of Allan Chimbetu and Solo Makore, which has steadied the rocky dendera ship.

The two great musicians who have seen it all in the music industry have been handy in offering a different flair to Sulu’s live shows.

Their well-choreographed dances and vocal backing abilities have made Sulu’s live performances a marvel to watch.
