Whenever a Zimbabwean artiste releases an album, people in the Diaspora jostle for it on different social media platforms.
The number of views, comments and appreciation of the songs when uploaded on such platforms tells how Zimbabweans abroad are growing home sick.
Back home, when the musician announces that he will be going for an international show, fellow artistes, fans and promoters unite to give them courage and blessings.
That will be the case on June 18 when contemporary musician Jah Prayzah stages a farewell gig to the UK at Dandaro Inn.
Jah Prayzah is set to perform in Leister on June 27.
Already, fellow musicians Suluman Chimbetu and Herbert Majeke have confirmed their participation at the event.
The musician yesterday told The Herald Entertainment that he was happy that people had offered to bid him a farewell.
“It is good that when we perform outside the country fellow musicians, fans and supporters give us the blessings. It also gives a picture on how Zimbabwean artistes are united,” he said.
He promised fans a good performance on all the shows.
“We are coming up with new drills and dances because of the new album. Our that will be a farewell show everyone would remember,” he said.
Sulu’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma said Sulu will be joining the lanky musician on songs “Sean Timba” and the remix of “Dendera Ndizarurirewo”.
“The two musicians are good friends and whenever they meet pomp and funfair is expected,” he said.
Organisers of the event urged fans to come in their numbers to bid their musician a farewell.
