Dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu will launch his DVD for the album “Syllabus” at Book Cafe tomorrow night. The musician took time to release the videos which he said were taken from different parts of Africa. Speaking to The Herald Entertainment, Sulu’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma said it took time for them to finish the product because some of the shorts were taken from their tours across Africa.
“We took the opportunity to take the shots during our visit to Seychelles and Uganda then different parts of the country,” said Nyamungoma.
The musician will be seeking to beat a high standard set by his counterpart Jah Prayzah who produced good videos for his album “Tsviriyo”.
Nyamungoma was confident of the product saying people will love the product.
“It has been long since people last saw our videos but we are very confident that they will love the DVD,” he said.
They have added another song Dzamutsana from their previous album “Non Stop”.
“It is a bonus track we have decided to add to capture the memories of the album,” he added. Sam Mhlanga, co-director of Jive Zimbabwe, a company that will market and distribute the album said they were looking forward to the show.
“All has been put in place for the launch and we are looking forward to the show,” said Mhlanga.
He added that they were ready to work with any artist in the country in promoting their products.
“These artists need our support and I urge the cooperate world to support them. As Jive Zimbabwe we work with any artist in promoting their products,” said Mhlanga.
This will be Chimbetu’s second DVD in his career with the first one being “Ndomusiya Nani”.
