Suluman CHIMBETU will lead an array of musicians that will take turns to thrill revellers at this year’s edition of Muscle Mania to be held at Ochi City on Saturday.
Sulu, who is fresh from touring Uganda, Zambia and the United Kingdom, is set to give fans a taste of the unmistakable dendera music in a grand performance at the body building extravaganza.
Speaking on the developments, the administrator of the show, Linda Chibage, said the show was going to be explosive.

“There are a few prominent musicians in the country; therefore we want to give the less known a chance to gain exposure. It is a chance for them to make a name for themselves as there will be people from regional countries,” she said.

Chibage also highlighted that the extravaganza will present a different kind of fun for locals who will be presented with a platform to socialise away from other forms of entertainment normally associated with body building.

“There is going to be a lot of fun and excitement for revellers with a bit of casino, bar and catering on the side at the main venue; Ochi City. It will also be a chance to socialise while supporting an emerging sport in our country,” she said.

All is set for the bodybuilding fête that will see scores of men and women battling it out in various categories – senior men, junior men, senior ladies, disabled men and disabled women.

The show’s prejudging contest will take place at Scorpion Gym in Queensdale from 8am-12 noon before the main event at Ochi City.
Prizes at stake include a motor vehicle, stands, cash, household appliances and hampers. According to the organisers, this is also an opportunity to support and empower the disabled members of our community.

Some of the sponsors include Sam’s Limos, Tynserve, Croco Motors, Gtel and Defu.
