Sunday Buzz: Beggar or conductor?

Gossip

A CERTAIN conductor from the Tshova Mubayiwa association, operating at the TM Pick n Pay rank, is believed to be in a habit of borrowing money from commuters.

The conductor, who is warmly referred to as one of Zimbabwe’s vice-president’s, is said to have almost been beaten up by some commuters whom he owes money.

The conductor is said to whip up different stories every time he is in “need” of money.

In one instance, where he had been asking for money from a commuter for about a month, he was humiliated in front of his colleagues and other commuters, after he was undressed by the commuter who was onto his lies.

The conductor plies a route going to a neighbourhood that is approximately 13 kilometres out of Bulawayo near a popular butchery and barbeque spot.

He is also said to be so enigmatic that nobody knows what he does with the money he borrows from people.

Even his own colleagues don’t lend him a single dime because of his inability to pay back what he owes to people.

What boggles the mind is that he is said to earn $9 a day and has a fixed monthly salary from the association but still pesters commuters for money.
