ZIMBABWE’S leading weekly family newspaper, The Sunday Mail, has been recognised as one of the country’s 2024 Top 200 Superbrands.

Joining The Sunday Mail on this prestigious list are its sister publication, The Herald; and the popular national radio station, Star FM.

The Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ) announced the Top 200 Superbrands on Friday.

According to a MAZ survey, these Zimpapers brands have consistently dominated their respective markets.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Harare, MAZ executive secretary Mr Gillian Rusike acknowledged the positive impact the Zimpapers brands have on the lives of Zimbabweans.

He said nationwide research identified brands that are speaking to the lives of consumers, as well as impacting and changing their lives.

“We have seen the unveiling of these 200 brands and we are going into a further research process to identify the Top 20 brands, which will be announced at the end of the year,” he said.

“The process has been refined over the eight years that we have been hosting this event. We keep on refining it to make sure that it meets the expectations and the needs of the public.”

MAZ conducts research to identify brands that Zimbabwean consumers see as exceptional within their market categories.

The association considers factors like brand reputation, customer loyalty and consistent delivery of value when identifying Superbrands.

The programme sheds light on consumer preferences through its research, providing valuable insights to businesses.
