adminToddy was part of the crowd that witnessed the official handover of the course ahead of the Zimbabwe Open set for Thursday.
“We are happy to receive this course in this perfect condition and we are glad with the reception we received,” Toddy said.
“We are very grateful for Royal Harare ahead of this year’s Zimbabwe Open and I hope it will be an enjoyable week.
“To the players who made it, we are happy for them and believe they will play to the best of their abilities. I have seen the course and it is in a perfect condition that matches world standards.
“We are happy for Royal Harare and believe they will continue to work hard and maintain the conditions. The course is challenging and it will give the players a good run during the four rounds.”
The Zimbabwe Open field took shape on Sunday with six more local players making it through the pre-qualifiers which were held at Chapman Gold Club.
Local players at this year’s Open stands at 24, a good improvement from the past seasons, and this could possibly help them end the dominance of South African golfers.
