Sunway City: The future industrial development

eco-friendly world class, integrated industrial, commercial, institutional, recreational and residential parks so as to provide relevant infrastructural development to facilitate industrialisation and economic growth of Zimbabwe as well as Regional Integration and trade.
In line with IDC’s mandate of facilitating the implementation of industrial projects, Sunway City was established to provide specialised industrial clusters for cost effective infrastructure and/or common service centres.
The industrial park was designed to compete with the best in the world in the provision of quality industrial factory shells supported by world class technology, efficient communication, road and rail systems and effective land use planning.
Furthermore, the development of the Sunway City Industrial Park was driven by the fact that the existing developed industrial sites are becoming congested with frequent services failure.
They also do not have room for future expansion and are not integrated and networked with other compatible users for linkages, convenience and cost effectiveness.
With the African economy growing, Sunway City was established to provide new and better planned industrial parks designed to the taste of international investors.
To this end, the company owns and is developing its 1559 hectare land bank in Zimbabwe into a world class integrated industrial city.
This development is guided by Local Development Plan 33 (LDP33) which is a statutory document approved by the City of Harare.
Of late, Sunway City is in a bid to court strategic partners and or equity partners to complete works at its 1 560-hectare integrated industrial park that is located about 11 kilometres east of the CBD of the Capital City of Harare.
The company is seeking equity partners to take up to 49 percent stake to jointly service and develop the entire park and also to develop specific ring fenced projects.
