Sunzu back at TP Mazembe

Sunderland in the January transfer window. However, a standoff between Mazembe and Sunzu’s agents over his status scuppered any prospective deal.

“As for Sunzu, even now, we are ready to listen to offers from any club in Europe,” Mazembe chairman Moses Katumbi says.
“The only problem is that his managers have been confusing the boy by lying to him that his contract with Mazembe has expired and yet it is still valid until 2015.”

Sunzu’s handlers alleged that he was a free agent as his three-year deal expired this year, after he joined Mazembe in 2010.
“The agents must learn to respect African clubs because we invest a lot in these players,” Katumbi says. — Kickoff.com
