THERE will be various jazz, gospel and hip-hop artistes, including super group Mokoomba, at the Save Beach Bash Tourism Jamboree set for Birchenough Bridge on Saturday.
The Save Beach Bash Tourism Jamboree aims to promote tourism in the eastern region of Zimbabwe and attract both local and international visitors to the area.
The event is being held courtesy of the Office of the President and Cabinet, ZimBho and Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. Internationally-acclaimed Mokoomba, Suluman Chimbetu and Dorcas Moyo are part of Saturday’s line-up for the pungwe event.
Moyo believes artists have the power to showcase Zimbabwe’s mesmerising tourism places.
“It’s always an honour to participate in everything that showcases Zimbabwe.
“I’m am proudly Zimbabwean and will not think twice about any initiative that puts Brand Zimbabwe on the map. I am excited to be part of the cast of the Save Beach Jamboree.
“I am ready to rock revellers and promise to bring our ‘A’ game to treat the people of Chipinge, Buhera and surrounding districts to an unforgettable event,” she said.
There will also be food stalls and vendors showcasing local cuisine and products, providing a taste of Zimbabwean culture.
The event promises to be a memorable day of entertainment, cultural experiences and sports like golf at the Leopard Rock Hotel course, beach volleyball, cricket, football, cycling and tug-of-war.
The message from the organisers is simple: pack your bags, grab your sunscreen, and head to Birchenough Bridge for a day of fun in the sun on Saturday.
