THE Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Association have added their voice on the “Say No To Hooliganism” campaign after the Maglas violence. The ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League match between Shabanie Mine and Gwanda Pirates at Maglas turned uggly, resulting in injuries.

The ugly scenes has seen football enthusiasts calling on stiff penalties.

ZSSA president Toddy Dzvanga Juru said they are deeply saddened and outraged by the violent incident where a soccer fan was stabbed.

“This act of violence has no place in our beloved sport and undermines the spirit of camaraderie and unity that soccer represents.

“We condemn this violence in the strongest terms and call for a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice. Our thoughts are with the victim and their family during this difficult time.

“We urge all fans to promote a culture of respect and safety at sporting events. Let us come together to ensure that soccer is a source of joy and not fear,” said Dzanga Juru.
