Supporters urged to behave as Mbada Diamonds Cup blockbuster starts

“We are urging supporters to reject violence and enjoy the beautiful game. We are looking forward to an entertaining showdown and I think it will definitely live up to expectations. Mbada should be hailed for spreading the game to all corners of the country,” said Bgwoni.
One Dynamos fan, Cacius Chigwida, feels while it’s a good idea to spread the game across the country, the derby between the two clubs should have been played in Harare.
“The majority of these team’s fans are in Harare and in Bulawayo it won’t draw the same crowd as in the capital. Besides the attendance issue, CAPS will be knocked out of the tournament because they have been struggling against us in recent years,” he said.
Dynamos Supporters chairman, Marondera Chapter, Wellington Chikanda, is confident of a win.
“We always follow our team wherever they go and our supporters in Bulawayo have been waiting for this moment because they haven’t seen enough action this season,” said Chikanda.
Tonhodzayi Matanhire, who is a staunch Makepekepe supporter, believes Cup games have nothing to do with form and is confident his team will pull through to the finals.
“Cup games are difficult to predict, Dynamos have beaten us in the league but this is a different ball game all together.
“I don’t think the match will draw a huge crowd since the two team’s fan base is in Harare.
“We will however be banking on Highlanders’ fans since they are fighting for the championship with DeMbare,” said Matanhire.  
Edward Chipashu said CAPS United will go down and has urged fans to travel and rally behind the team in Bulawayo.
“CAPS United is not posing any threat and we want to continue from where we left when we beat them in the league,” said Chipashu.
