some cooked rice were discovered.
Harare province police spokesperson, Inspector Tedious Chibanda confirmed the incident last night.
He said investigations were under way.
“We are investigating whether they are real human intestines and whether there is a link between the school uniform and the intestines,” said Insp Chibanda.
“There will also be forensic examinations of the intestines to get reliable information. We need specialists to verify that, ” said Inspector Chibanda.
He, however, said Chitungwiza had no report of a missing child but that would not stop them from suspecting that the intestines might be that of a human being.
“There are other kids who might come from surrounding areas,” he said.
