Suspected stock thief arrested in Concession

A 22-YEAR-OLD suspected stock thief, believed to have been part of a gang terrorising farmers, has been arrested in Concession.

Police have since recovered six cattle in Chiweshe and Bindura.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said: “On July 7, 2025, police in Mvurwi received information which linked Chipo Chiwaridzo aged 22 to a spate of stocktheft cases which occurred at farms in Mvurwi in June 2025.

“The police made a follow up and arrested the suspect in Concession on July 11, 2025 following the recovery of six stolen cattle in Chiweshe and Bindura.

“The cattle were positively identified by the complainants and were handed over to them for safekeeping. The other suspects, Remigio Chaitezvi aged 28 and Prince Munachibve aged 28 are on the run.”
