Suspected thief found dead in fowl run

A 34-year-old man was found dead in a fowl run at a house in Damafalls Phase 5, with signs of assault. 

Shadreck Maresa was allegedly caught stealing batteries in the Gazebo area, which might have instigated the mob attack. 

National police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said the incident is now under investigation.

“Police in Ruwa are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of murder in which Shadreck Maresa (34) died in a fowl run at a house in Damafalls Phase 5, Ruwa,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.

In another suspected murder, an unidentified man was found dead with stabbed wounds near Cottco Panning Site in Bindura.

“Police in Bindura are investigating a case of murder in which a yet to be identified male adult was found dead with a stab wound on the chest near Cottco Panning Site, Bindura.

“The victim was wearing a blue jean trouser, an orange T-shirt, black short, grey cap, pink shoes and a wrist watch.

“Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” said police in a statement.
