Swearing-in ceremony slated for Monday

Cabinet ministers and their deputies appointed by President Mnangagwa yesterday will be sworn in on Monday.
In a statement to The Herald yesterday, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda advised the ministers to collect their appointment letters.

“The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda, wishes to advise all the newly-appointed Government Ministers and Deputy Ministers to collect their letters of appointment and to be sworn-in by His Excellency the President at the State House on Monday, 10th September, 2018 at 9am,” he said.

President Mnangagwa appointed a diverse and dynamic 20-member Cabinet expected to deliver economic development, bringing to an end weeks of speculation since the July 30 harmonised elections.

In his appointment, the President mixed old and new faces, boasting a diversity of knowledge and skills.
President Mnangagwa said it was time to get down to business for the new Cabinet ministers, posting on his facebook page: “Now it is time to get to work.”
