THE Zimbabwe Table Tennis Union will tomorrow hold their elective annual general meeting at Old Windsor Primary School in Harare with several candidates running for positions in the national executive committee.
The two posts of interim president, held by Noah Ferenando, and treasurer held by Tarisai Murambinda are the only positions which are not contested.
Ferenando took over office from Silas Muringai and has managed to arrange several national and international tournaments.
The battle for the vice presidency will see incumbent Kudzai Chiwawa of Harare Province facing off with Babiana Gati Chacha of Bulawayo and Tendai Baudi of Manicaland.
The race for the national technical director will have four contestants. Manicaland’s William Machacha will battle it out with Robinson Chigede and Mutsawashe Chiremba.
Machacha has also thrown in his name for the coaches’ chair, where he will contend with Kudakwashe Madoro of Manicaland, Ashley Dhlamini of Bulawayo, United Kingdom-based Takudzwa Mudonhi and Harare’s Shumba.
