WITH six days to go before Bulawayo hosts the Panthers Academy Taekwondo Expo, organisers have expressed readiness and called for the corporate world to come in and assist in holding a memorable event.
The competition, which is scheduled for the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre, will mark the Panthers Academy’s 15th-year anniversary.
“Preparations are well on course and we are confident of having a successful event. Delegates are expected to start arriving on Thursday. We expect to have weigh-ins on Friday before the start of the proper tournament on Saturday,” said Vusumuzi Ncube.
“We are still appealing to the corporate world to come in and help where they can. We still need their support to make the event a success.
“We have also availed an opportunity for the youth in business to come and showcase their business and sell whatever product that they have during the expo. Those who are willing to come can come and register with us,” said Ncube.
At least 300 participants are expected to be part of the event.
Initially, the event was meant to be held in March, but was deferred owing to some logistical challenges.
