also need special care.
Our feet are vulnerable to physical and viral or bacterial problems.
I will start of with the physical problems. When you take your bath, make sure that you always wash between your toes with soap.
Then make sure you dry each individual space before you put on your shoes.
It is important to make sure that the shoes you use on a daily basis like your school shoes are comfortable.
This means that they should not be too tight, too big or too high. If the shoes are not right for you they can damage the bones of your feet and later on in life you will have big problems.
The wearing of ill-fitting shoes also leads to the development of calluses which are areas of hardened skin on our feet.
If you have such things then you need to carefully slice off the dead skin with a clean razor blade and apply some softening lotion to the area.
If possible, you should have shoes made out of proper leather. Because it is a natural product, leather has pores or tiny holes which let air circulate inside allowing your feet to ‘breathe’ all the time. This means that you sweat less. Not only will your feet stink less, you will also avoid fungal infections like athlete’s foot.
For girls, high heels are a fashion trend that will not go away any time soon. But before you try to look like Beyonce or Kim Kardashian, remember that these women do not walk for long distances in those shoes. And learn how to walk in heels correctly before putting them on. If you are hobbling or limping that means your feet are suffering and anyway, it makes you look like a joke.
When you have discoloured nails, peeling and itchy skin or toes that are white and stuck together that means you have an infection. There are topical creams available from pharmacies that you can apply for the infections to go away.
But if the problem does not go away then you need to visit a doctor as they may need to prescribe an antibiotic to remove the infection.
As with every other health issue, prevention is always better than cure.
So take good care of your feet. And as usual do not forget to drink lots of water every day.
