Ignite Youth, a voluntary organisation which has became a platform for young people to showcase their talents as well as positively contribute to the society, will celebrate its first anniversary since its formation in 2017 this weekend.
The organisation supports most of the artistes in contemporary music such as Koko, Cross Statements, Lil Megaz and Ken Wamambo to name but just a few.
Organisers of these milestones celebrations said youths should expect fireworks as the organisation becomes a year older.
Tadzi Madzima, the founder of the organisation said they have lined up several performances and community beneficiary programmes in the cities of Harare and Bulawayo as a way of assisting young people to give back to the community in their area of specialty.
“As we become a year older, we are urging the young people to make a positive impact through giving back to communities within their realm of specialty,” said Madzima.
“We’re turning one year this end of March and we are so excited about it!”.
“To mark and celebrate this milestone, we are having a campaign themed #iwillstepup To Make A Difference! The campaign will also include concerts in both Bulawayo and Harare carrying that theme.
Ms Madzima said there will be dual celebrations in Harare and in the city of Kings and Queens before the initiative is rolled country-wide.
She said as a result of this milestone, they are calling upon all youths to step up and make necessary changes that improve their own lives and the lives of others.
Ms Madzima said the concert in Bulawayo is happening on April 13 at the Bulawayo Theartre where several artistes being promoted and supported by the Organisation are expected to perform.
“We want every young person to positively participate in their respective societies by for once offering their services back to their respective communities, free of charge,” she said.
