At 18, singing sensation Tamy (pictured) is ready for live performances with a full band as she has unveiled her debut album “The 18th Rollercoaster.”
The beautiful music diva Tamy whose full name is Thamsanqa Moyo (18) started singing at a tender age of seven. She has been releasing singles at different intervals and to celebrate her 18th birthday she has come up with a six-track album.
Because of academic commitments she patiently waited for this moment of her life.
Tamy said the album was primarily inspired by her life experiences as she has been growing to become a mature adult and is meant to inspire as well as grow with people of her age.
“I was inspired by things I have been through in life to the present day. At times I get so excited and the next moment I can be so depressed and these are the things I choose to express in a musical way which is exciting and fulfilling,” Tamy said.
“My mission is to inspire and am not only centred on that, sometimes it’s not about inspiring but also voicing your concerns to people of your age, you could be depressed and come up with a song from that experience,” Tamy said.
At 18, which is the majority legal age Tamy is not stopping at anything in her musical journey and at her age she has found her unique identity and sound in the music circles. She has released several singles with mature lyrics like “Sango” and “Tonight”, which have been dominating the airwaves on local radio stations. Her manager Richard Kohala said Tammy’s songs have a message of inspiration which are packaged in a unique way.
“She has come up with an inspiring album which is different in its own way with captivating messages that are engaging to the listener,” Kohala said.
When other young women are still trying to find their way into the future it seems like all is set for Tamy who is now officially launching herself into the show business and already she has attracted a sizable following.
