LONG-DISTANCE runner Moses Tarakinyu says he is ready for the Old Mutual Vumba half marathon scheduled for this weekend.

The annual event is set for Sunday with the 10km and 5km races also on the programme for the day.

Tarakinyu confirmed he will be part of the field on Sunday for the half marathon and is confident of his preparations.

“I have been training for some time now since I am also aiming to compete at the National Cross Country in Bindura in November. That’s my main focus.

“And I have been working towards both events.”

He won the race last year and is hoping to retain the title.
