resolution, she has worked hard to realise her dream and pursue her passion – music.
Tatenda is a new kid on the block who recently released a debut gospel album titled “Love Song For You” which is a dedication to the Almighty for everything on earth.
The eight-track album is of contemporary gospel genre fused with reggae, pop and classic flavour using a variety of instruments including keyboards, guitar and drum.
All songs are in English and seem to put emphasis on God as the messages contained therein are anchored on the Bible.
The song “Deep Into You” is a reflection of the fact that man was created in the image of God hence whenever one sees another person he or she would have seen the Lord.
Another song “My Desire” is the artiste’s ambition to worship the Saviour who gave her the power to sing.
“In Your Presence” has proved to be the audience’s favourite as it has received an overwhelming response from the public since the album’s release this month.
“Many people confirmed they have heard some of the songs from my latest offering,” said Tatenda.
Other songs to look for on the album are “His Love and Mercy,” “One With You,” “All I am” and “Dawn of A New Season”, a poem about the beginning of new things in life such as the musician’s artistic career which came from a difficult start.
Born in Bulawayo 32 years ago, Tatenda – who works for African Sun as a personal assistant – only realised how talented she was when she won the Talent Spot show on ZBC’s Teen Scene in 1999. She has held live performances with Wild Fire Events and Germany Society where she received much support and has managed to rub shoulders with seasoned artistes such as Edith “Weutonga” Katiji.
