A Kuwadzana teacher, who feels threatened, has left her matrimonial home unceremoniously amid claims that her husband allegedly discovered love messages between her and her business partner.

The teacher, Beaulah Kambarami (46), a Grade 7 instructor, is accused of having an illicit affair with Simbarashe Jaramba (42)—a private business partner. She denies the allegations.

According to reports, Kambarami introduced Jaramba to her husband, Tinashe Gwarimbo, saying they come from the same village. She also proposed a partnership with him in a farming project intended to supplement her income. Gwarimbo agreed, and the farming project reportedly ran successfully since 2024.

However, Gwarimbo claims he later discovered that Jaramba had allegedly been bedding his wife even before she introduced him as a business partner. He said the affair may have started earlier.

“I discovered that my wife’s illicit affair with Jaramba started before she introduced him to me as a business partner and her homeboy,” Gwarimbo said. “I phoned Jaramba in anger and he apologised.”Gwarimbo claims he then confronted his wife following the alleged apology. He said when he phoned Kambarami, she stammered, hanged the call, and shortly after that, he returned from work to find the home empty.

He said he was forced to engage her parents and Jaramba’s mother, who he said is a church leader, after discovering that Kambarami had left without notice. Gwarimbo later approached a traditional court in Murehwa, taking the case against Kambarami, her parents, and Jaramba. The matter is expected to be heard by the headman today at Murehwa Centre. He said he chose the traditional court instead of escalating the matter further, explaining that he has four children, paid lobola, and that both families were aware of the situation.

“I could have committed murder, but I decided to take my issue before a traditional court since I have four children with my wife, paid lobola and my in-laws were aware of this illicit affair,” Gwarimbo said.

“I am prepared to accept the verdict handed down by the headman.”

In his account to H-Metro, Gwarimbo said he married Kambarami and supported her education until she completed a diploma.

“I feel betrayed, brother. Something is going to happen between the three of us. I lost money and some valuables to educate her.”

When contacted for comment, Jaramba would not confirm nor deny the allegations, stating that he was waiting for the traditional court process.

He said he was in Murehwa and would attend court to give his side of the story.

Kambarami, on her part, denied dating Jaramba. She claimed she left the home out of fear, saying she received threats. She said she packed her belongings without notice because she feared for her safety.

“I could not stay after receiving some threats, which is why I left my house unceremoniously. I feared for my life and as we speak, I am planning to approach civil courts for a peace and protection order,” she said.

She also insisted that the allegations of dating Jaramba were unfounded and that she would prove her case before the traditional court.
