Teacher arrested

Police yesterday arrested the female teacher who allegedly drew blood from 12 students recently for unknown purposes at Musau Primary School in Mudzi District, Mashonaland East.
Police sources confirmed that the female teacher is being held at Kotwa Police Post.
“Yes, we have arrested the teacher and we are holding her at Kotwa Police Post as we continue with our investigations,” the source said.
“We are still preparing the charges against the teacher.”

Mashonaland East police spokesperson Inspector Bulisani Bhebhe yesterday said he was still waiting for police officers on the ground to give him information about the matter.

“I am still waiting to get the position from officer in charge Nyamapanda,” Insp Bhebhe said.
Kotwa Police Post falls under Nyamapanda.

Mashonaland East district education officer Mr Godfrey Chimbwanda said investigations were under way.
“Police are carrying out investigations and we have to leave that to them,” he said.
