TEACHERS have been urged to treat all learners equally, regardless of their physical or psychological disabilities.
The call was made during the ongoing workshop by the Africa Institute of Alternative Learning, which began in Bulawayo today.

The workshop seeks to empower local educators by equipping them with practical strategies to identify and support learners with learning disabilities.

Participants were encouraged to nurture the potential of every learner by exercising love, patience and understanding, while recognising that children have different abilities and talents.

Teachers were also urged to adopt a non-judgemental approach and embrace their role as caregivers within the learning environment, taking responsibility for the well-being of children entrusted to them.

Bulawayo mayor, Councillor David Coltart is expected to officiate at the programme.
