Teen advice with Gracious…Judged by body!

School has been unbearable for me, tears after tears just ultimate pain. Am in Form three at an average school and l cannot really complain about my education the teachers are very nice and passionate. My main problem at school is that l am constantly being laughed at by my fellow classmates because of my body. Well l am an overweight girl and since birth l have just been generally big.

Most of the girls l learn with are small and l am usually compared to them. l have tried all things slimming tablets and even working out in effort to look like them but nothing seems to work.

Some of them mock me and even refuse to talk to me. I have no friends at school and am constantly in tears. At times l feel like giving up on life because of some of their insults and comments. How can l make my life at school better?

RESPONSE
Wow am shocked people your age still do that. Laughing or mocking each other because of our body is so immature and honestly those people need to grow up. People can be really unfair criticizing each other because of our appearances.

We need to learn that in life we do not chose how we look but we are just created that way. Never ever blame yourself for how you look, do not be ashamed of your body instead be proud of who you are. We are all unique in our own way and we all have flaws, so no one is in the right position to judge anyone.

However, coming to you, If you look down at yourself people will take advantage of that and also look down upon you. Have self-confidence, show them you do not care about what they say. Such people do not deserve a single drop of your tears.

Focus on your education that is your main goal. If all their talking and mocking is getting so unbearable tell one of your teachers he or she will know how handle the situation because all this might affect your studies. Also tell your parents they need to know what is going on in their child’s life.

Then about friends genuine friends will come no matter how you look or what people think about you. If they are not willing to take you for who you are let them go they are many people out of the school campus that will accept you as you are.

Do not change yourself for people. You are perfect just the way you are, big or small you are perfect. They will mock you but that does not define the true you.

Lastly always remember you are fearfully and wonderfully made no one can change that or take that away from you.
