Teen up for murder of Seke I High student

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy has appeared in court after he allegedly stabbed to death another minor, who was a student at Seke 1 High School, in Chitungwiza.

Harare magistrate, Yeukai Dzuda, remanded him in custody to August 30.

The accused is a student at Zengeza 2 High School.

It is the State’s case that on July 12, 2022, the now deceased, was armed with two stones which he intended to use to attack the accused person.

Further allegations are that the accused grabbed the now deceased, withdrew an okapi knife from his trousers pocket and stabbed him on the left side of his stomach.

The accused is said to have fled from the scene.

The deceased was ferried to hospital, where he was treated and discharged.

Two days later, the deceased was taken back to hospital, after his condition started to deteriorate, and he passed away upon admission.
