A 19-year-old woman has opened a charity organisation which targets rape victims, teenage mothers and persons with disabilities.

Inspired by her late mother, who preached the values of giving back to the community, Tariro Ruddo said she has been receiving support from donors.

She has also ventured into selling jewellery and the profits she gets are injected into her charity organisation.

“When my mother passed away, I felt a deep desire to honour her memory and continue her legacy of community service.

“I wanted to create something that would not only help those in need but also allow others to experience the joy and fulfilment that comes from giving back.

“Our target are the teen mums, persons with disabilities and rape victims as these are often shunned by society and they feel like they do not belong to the rest of the world.

“There is a need for people to be educated that people do not choose to be in certain situations and when that happens, there is need to always accommodate everyone and that is true humanity.”
