TWO teenagers stabbed their neighbour to death during a fight outside a supermarket, a court heard yesterday.
Uvenzio Mugadzire, 16, and Learnmore Maphosa, 15, both from Cowdray Park, appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Willard Maphios Moyo charged with murder.
Advance Manokere died after being stabbed in the head and ribs with a sharp object on August 24, 2012, prosecutors said at the Western Commonage Magistrates’ Court.
Kingston Mkanganwi, for the State, told the court that the two boys were at Cowdray Park shopping centre when they spotted Manokere walking around the area.
They picked up an argument with him, resulting in a fist fight.
But the fight was soon over, said Mkanganwi, after Manokere was stabbed. He died on admission at United Bulawayo Hospitals.
Mugadzire and Maphosa were remanded in custody to January 17 pending trial at the High Court.
