Tehn Diamond launches Independence fashion

Award-winning rapper Tendai Nguni who is popularly known as Tehn Diamond has embarked on an online campaign to sell his fashion collection, “Tisu Ngoda Dzacho Zim 35”.The collection that was launched a week ago is meant to encourage people to be proud of their identity and potential ahead of the upcoming Independence celebrations.

His T-shirts are being sold for $20 each and sweaters are going for $35 each. He managed to reach the initial goal of selling twenty T-shirts and sweaters in a week using the online sales campaign. In an interview Tehn Diamond said, “‘Tisu Ngoda Dzacho’ is really a philosophy of mine, a reminder to our people that we are the diamonds.

“It’s about realising that the greatest assets to our nation is the potential that every one of us has. Potential to shine, potential to help others shine. We are the diamonds that ought to be invested in, we are the true mineral wealth of this nation. An endless and priceless source of true wealth, the hearts and minds of the people of Zimbabwe. We Are The Diamonds.”

 

The gifted artiste said his online campaign would reach out to people outside the country to remind them to celebrate independence.

“The Diaspora responded very well to this online sales campaign, though it was my first attempt there is room to improve and I fully embrace that challenge. With independence coming, it felt like the perfect time to start the movement,” he said

“Independence is not a once off event. It means responsibility, it means being fully aware of our past so that as the youth we can learn, by being aware of the present taking actions that are informed by our past as a nation,” he said. The “Happy” singer has his local and international audience at heart inspiring hearts and minds to take positive action towards building a flamboyant Zimbabwe.

Tehn Diamond has a flourishing music career and he recently featured in the famous hip hop South African magazine called ‘HYPE’ as an influential artiste in Southern Africa, enabling him to reach a wider regional audience.
