Telecel offers value for money

Telecel Red, the first of its kind on the local market, offers unlimited local calls, text messages and data.
“This new revolutionary and innovative product will undoubtedly deliver greater value for money, providing customers with greater control and flexibility over their phone usage,” he said.
“Bonus usage could actually result in customers enjoying up to five times the amount of their monthly subscriptions.”
The company’s director for customer operations, Mrs Zodwa Chinyenze, added: “We are excited at this Telecel landmark development and we are fully geared to provide the best customer experience ever for all subscribers who come onto this new service.”
The new product comes in three packages: Telecel Red 30, Telecel Red 60 and Telecel Red 150 and the higher the subscription the more benefits one gets.
Existing customers can simply fill in the Telecel Red forms so that they can be migrated while retaining their existing mobile number, with new subscribers also required to fill in the same forms so they can be registered as well. Contract customers are also catered for in the Telecel Red product.
“Existing contract customers who would like to take advantage of the greater control, flexibility and huge value for money services that Telecel Red offers can opt to switch to a Telecel Red contract,” said marketing director Mr Octavius Kahiya.
“In the event that one reaches their package credit limit, a prepaid customer can load airtime using normal recharge cards or vouchers while post-paid customers will be notified by a text message on reaching their limit and will be billed for any usage outside the package benefits at the end of the billing cycle.”
Telecel is now the second largest mobile operator based on the number of subscribers as they increased from about one million to about 2,5 million in the 12 months between January and December 2012.
