REBUILDING Chicken Inn FC have added David Temwanjira to their strikeforce. Temwanjira is a former Chiredzi FC player and last season he scored a couple of goals for the Lowveld team. The team was unfortunately relegated to the Eastern Region Division One League after an appalling display worsened by poor sponsorship.
Chicken Inn secretary Tawengwa Hara confirmed yesterday that they had managed to lure Temwanjira to Bulawayo.
“He has joined us from Chiredzi and we are confident he will settle well in Bulawayo,” said Hara.
In the same interview Hara disclosed that Edmore Chirambadare from Tsholotsho Pirates, Mitchelle Katsvairo from FC Platinum and Tapiwa Dephistara (Highlanders) were now in the club’s books.
Katsvairo was among FC Platinum’s leading goalscorers during his term at the club while Chirambadare was the best player in the Southern Region.
Dephistara failed to settle at Highlanders after joining them in the second half of last season when they were struggling.
Chicken Inn were not the potent side in 2013 when they had Tendai Ndoro now with Mpumalanga Black Aces in South Africa, Mamelodi Sundowns’ Kuda Mahachi and Felix Chindungwe now with Highlanders.
Dephistara was one of the many players released by Bosso last week.
