LONDON. – Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been brutally mocked by Domino’s amid continued uncertainty over his future.
United are in 14th place in the table after enduring their worst start to a Premier League season.
Domino’s mocked Ten Hag with a van outside Old Trafford which included the message “We’re hiring (not you Erik)” accompanied by a picture of the Dutchman.
United’s senior hierarchy, which includes part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are set to hold a meeting today.
Ten Hag’s side drew 0-0 away to Aston Villa on Sunday in a result that could be seen as a small step in the right direction following a challenging week.
Prior to that, United had drawn 3-3 away to Porto in a chaotic Europa League encounter.
That followed on from a 3-0 defeat away to Tottenham which increased the discussion surrounding Ten Hag’s future.
Despite recruiting extensively in the summer transfer window, United are still lacking consistency more than two years into Ten Hag’s tenure at the club.
Matthijs de Ligt, for instance, was signed from Bayern Munich in the summer but only featured as a substitute against Villa following an injury to Harry Maguire. – Mailonline
