FORMER Manicaland Tennis Board chairman Frank Thomas Martin has died.

He was 82.

Martin was husband to Tennis Zimbabwe life president, Ann.

Former Mantas Tennis Academy player and head coach Freeman Nyamunokora said Martin succumbed to a heart attack on Wednesday.

He said Martin will be missed as he supported his wife in developing the game of tennis in Manicaland and beyond.

“Through them came out players like Genius Chidzikwe, Pfungwa Mahefu, Liberty Nzula, Siphilissiwe Ncube, Pauline Chawafambira, Munashe Makuni, just to mention a few. He was one of the greatest farmers in our province and he groomed a lot of farmers,” said Nyamukora.
