Terry and Bliss jazz band launches debut album KwaTerry

HISTORY making Kwekwe based jazz outfit, Terry and Bliss jazz band will today launch their debut album titled KwaTerry. The group scored a first last year by becoming the first group from the Midlands province to scoop the Chibuku Road to Fame first prize.The eight-track album will be launched at Maunganidze Beer Hall popularly known as Zaire in Mkoba suburb, Gweru. The group’s recording was funded by Delta Beverages as part of the group’s first prize.

The group beat nine other groups in the national finals. Founder and director of the group, Telson “Terry” Nigi invited fans to come in their numbers to support the group.

The seven-member group is based in the mining town of Kwekwe and was founded in 2011 by Nigi.
“The recording was funded by Delta Beverages as part of our prize for winning last year’s Chibuku Road to Fame competition,” said Nigi.
