Sunday Sermon with Apostle Chisale
GREETINGS beloved in the name of Jesus Christ. Today, I want to share a message rooted in scripture, emphasising that the one who is called to deliver others must first experience deliverance themselves.
Let’s begin by reading Exodus 2:2-6: “And the woman conceived and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. And when she could no longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink. And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him. And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river, and her maidens walked along by the river’s side and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him and said, ‘This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”
This account introduces us to Jochebed, Moses’ mother, in a time when Pharaoh’s decree was to kill all Hebrew boys.
Despite the risk, Jochebed recognised that Moses was a special child, she saw the divine purpose he carried and chose to hide him for three months. Her fear of God and faith prevented her from participating in Pharaoh’s murderous decree.
This was an evil, Luciferian law aimed at destroying God’s destiny for His people — a system designed to kill the future leaders and deliverers. Notice how Moses’ sister stood watch, guarding her brother from afar, ensuring nothing happened to him.
The Nile River, where Moses was hidden, was not just a body of water but also revered as a deity in Egypt. It was worshipped and even one of Egypt’s gods was believed to reside there. When God judged Egypt, He turned the Nile into blood — signalling His sovereignty over these spiritual entities.
In Ezekiel 29:2-5, we see a prophecy against Pharaoh, describing him as “the great dragon that lieth in the midst of the Nile.” This dragon or Leviathan, represented a demonic spirit claiming ownership of the Nile and Egypt’s waters. Pharaoh’s worship of water spirits and the sacrifices made there were part of this spiritual warfare.
Such spiritual entities can dominate nations, turning into principalities that manipulate and hinder God’s purposes across families, communities and entire nations. They seek to keep God’s people in bondage, preventing them from rising to their divine destinies.
But I pray that God will raise a generation —like Moses — who will judge and confront these demonic powers. God desires to empower deliverers to break these strongholds, to bring freedom to His people.
But before becoming a deliverer, one must first be delivered. The Israelites’ deliverance was delayed because the deliverer, Moses, was not yet fully prepared. They needed a deliverer so that the prophetic word that was spoken to Abraham that says the children of Israel will be delivered after 400 years of captivity and it took approximately 430 years for their prophetic promise of liberation to be fulfilled, due to the delay in raising up a deliverer who was truly ready.
We must not delay God’s plans by failing His tests of obedience and faith. Remember, Jesus was asked, “Are you the one or should we look for another?” (Luke 7:19). The same question echoes in your family and community: Are you the one God is raising up as a deliverer? With the knowledge and power God has given you, you can arise to break demonic cycles and patterns affecting your family, church, city and nation.
In Zechariah 1:18-21, we see four horns — symbolic of demonic powers — that have scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem. We have to understand that Judah means praise and from Judah it’s where we see a tribe of kings.
These horns distort praise, weaken leadership and hinder the manifestation of God’s kingdom.
That’s why you will discover that there are a lot of attacks that are going on with people who are supposed to praise God prophetically because as they begin to sing high praises battles are won.
Nowadays, we have got a lot of people in praise and worship that have angelic voices but lacking power and hating prayer. What they only want is to sing from the position of their talent not from the position of the Holy of Holies where there is the glory. Judah, representing praise and kingship has been attacked and scattered.
Today, many who should walk in dominion have become slaves to worldly systems. The nation of Israel, representing God’s chosen people, was also scattered by these horns. We, too must recognise that we are a spiritual Israel — called to walk in divine authority but often hindered by these spiritual forces.
To confront and judge these horns, God is raising “carpenters” — people who refuse to compromise, who fear God rather than man and who carry the fire of Elijah. These are the ones who will restore order, bring spiritual rebuilding and establish God’s kingdom principles.
Moses himself was once adopted into Pharaoh’s system, yet when he matured, he refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
His name, meaning “drawn out of the water,” signifies divine deliverance. Just as Moses was delivered from the system that sought to destroy him, may the hand of God deliver you from systems — whether drugs, corruption or spiritual bondage — that threaten to kill the future of young people and leaders.
May you be set apart like Moses, having encounters with God that empower you to bring deliverance. Just as Jerusalem was scattered when its spiritual foundations were compromised, our cities and nations can be scattered if they do not follow Jehovah’s principles.
I pray that God will raise carpenters — those who will judge and confront the horns fighting our cities and hindering revival. May God deliver men and women of God from worldly systems and release His fire upon us all.
Africa shall be saved. You are called to be a deliverer — one who is first delivered to deliver others.
If you haven’t yet received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, I invite you now to receive him by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you shall be saved.
May God bless you all.
